Just a few kilometers south of Valencia is the Albufera Natural Park, one of the most important natural spaces in the region. This coastal lagoon is a place of enormous ecological richness, home to numerous bird species and an important breeding ground for the local fish known as “eel”.
Here you can take a boat ride to observe the birds, walk along the trails that traverse the rice fields, or simply enjoy the tranquility of the place. Don’t forget to try the paella at one of the restaurants in El Palmar, a small fishing village on the shore of the Albufera, where they say this famous dish was born.
